This car is the 48th Alfa Romeo Giulietta Allegeritta built. The first owner was Alfranco Pagani, he was an Alfa Romeo official driver and best known for driving the Mille Miglia
with a Giulietta Spider Sebring in 1957. Alfranco drove this Sprint Veloce Alleggerita race number 84 in the 1956 1000km Nurburgring with Pietro Cagnana co-driving. Their race ended with a DNF due to a
broken windscreen. The car was first registered 22 May 1956 to Alfranco Pagano with plate MI 307314, only five days prior to the Nurburgring race. He later sold the car to Bordoni Franco with the same registration plate. It passed to Bacileri Umberto 24 June 1961.
The car was later transfer to Carnesecchi Ferdinando with a new title VE 53591 in 1962, He sold the car to Sonda Pietro 15 Nov 1963. The last owner sold it to Verardo Giovacchino with a
new title UD 83886. Then it passed to Cavedan Lucia and then to the current owner Mario Caniggia. It maintains the same plate. The car has trunk lid, engine hood, doors, bumpers and nose panel
in aluminum. The original engine block is included and pictured. The car has a non-matching numbers veloce engine installed. The car obvisously requires a total restoration, it
appears to be rust free and has suffered from an accident with a damage in front end. This is one of the first 100 SVA's, all sold to gentlemen racers for the purpose of racing. These cars
are fast, fun and are eligeble for the Mille Miglia and most major world events.
